The Caribooh Cottage

Situated in Minden Hills, Ontario, Canada, we acquired the Caribooh Cottage as it offered the perfect way to escape the busyness of city life and enjoy the rich natural and cultural diversity of Haliburton County. 

With over 100 feet of lakeshore, one can enjoy the pristine water of Spar Lake, which is purely fed by springs and rainwater, with a rich fish population. The no-motor-boat policy ensures the safety of swimmers and the quietness of the surroundings. 

In addition to the lakeshore, we enjoy the Caribooh Forest, 9 acres of woods adjacent to thousands of acres of Crown Land. A jewel for those who like to hike and observe animals in their most natural environment.

The cottage faces the lake at an orientation of 120 degrees southeast; beautiful sunrises and sunsets are visible from our private forest. See more on Google Earth.
